Denver Heights is a neighborhood in San Antonio. It’s one of the city’s older and historically African-American neighborhoods and was established in 1930 by J.A. Bartholomew who was building other subdivisions at the time, including Beacon Hill. Bartholomew's first development was called San Antonio Heights but after the city annexed the area, they changed it to Denver Heights in honor of their previous town. The city of Denver later adopted this name for its own neighborhood.

This area has some historic homes, including Victorian-style cottages built in the early 1900s. However, many of the ranch-style homes that were built after World War II have been demolished or refurbished to their former glory with new paint jobs.
